DAVAO CITY ? Entries from Davao dominated the agility division of the recent 3rd National Ultimate Dog Sports at the People?s Park here.

The champion for large breed dog in the first day of agility competition was ?Flame,? a Labrador Retriever handled by Arvin Serra; second was ?Butch,? a Golden Retriever handled by the Western Mindanao K9 Agility Club based in Zamboanga City.

In the agility event for small breed division, winner was ?Loysa,? a Jack Russell Terrier by Geolor Tan of WMK9AC; second was Vugart, also a Jack Russell Terrier handled by Don Donaire of Davao K9-ASG.

?Darna,? a Jack Russell Terrier handled by Ronel Golloso bested the field in the Jumpers Category.

In the Mondio Ring Level I competition, the Davao entries dominated the event led by ?Coup,? a Belgian Shepherd Malinois owned and handled by Elmer Edpalina; second was ?Franco,? also a Belgian Shepherd Malinois handled by Ronel Golloso.

In Mondio Ring Level II competition, Bacolod City?s Eugene Reyes and his German Shepherd named ?Barry? bagged the title on Day 1 and 2.

For the Day 1 event, second was ?Ash,? a Belgian Shepherd Malinois handled by Don Donaire of Davao K9 ASG.

On the Day 2 event, second was ?Chico,? handled by Don Donaire.

In Mondio Ring Level III, ?Booger,? a Belgian Shepherd Malinois owned and handled by lawyer Byron San Pedro emerged as winner.

?Booger? bested ?Virus,? a Belgian Shepherd Malinois owned by GAB chair Eric Buhain in Day 1 and 3 of the event presented by the city government of Davao, Purina Pro-Plan, RC Cola, NCCC, Vetmate, Kakimkris Lechon and Catering, Rep. Manuel Zamora, Carville Auto Supply, Farm Auto Supply, Wonderland and the Ark Animal Clinic.
