Predator International 10-Ball champion Dennis ?Robocop? Orcollo stayed in contention in the Galveston World Classic yesterday at the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center in Galveston, Texas, USA.

Orcollo, who lost to Japanese Goh Takami in the fourth round of the winner?s bracket, bounced back in the one-loss side by beating American Scott Frost and compatriots Marlon ?Marvelous? Manalo and Jose ?Amang? Parica, respectively.

Francisco ?Django? Bustamante, however, fell to American legend Nick Varner to fail to make it to the next round.

Efren ?Bata? Reyes, who is fresh from the One Pocket division, is still in the title-hunt in the 10-ball after crushing Cliff Joyner, Sean Black, Glenn Atwell, Rafael Martinez, Neil Fujiwara, and Brandon Shuff in the loser?s side.

Reyes, acknowledged one of the greatest pool players of all time, lost to Joey Korsiak in the opening round.

Reyes? next assignment is countryman Ramil ?Bebeng? Gallego, who yielded to US bet Shane ?The South Dakota Kid? Van Boening.

Another Filipino billiards master Alex ?The Lion? Pagulayan also remained in the 10-ball competition after drubbing Raj Hundal and Corey Deuel, in order.

The Galveston World Classic offers a total pot prize of $1 million.
