MANILA, Philippines ? A double treat awaits aficionados of the Pasay City Cockpit on Friday with sabong idol Patrick Antonio formally taking over as the cockpit?s new chief executive officer and the staging of the NFGB National Bakbakan 10-Stag Derby.

Antonio will handle all of PCC?s derbies and hackfights, backed by pit managers Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano and marketing manager Cheche Palileo.

A former Cagayan Valley congressman, Antonio is one of the most popular gamefowl breeders in the country with more than 250 derby titles tucked under his belt.

?It?s my lifetime commitment to help the gamefowl breeding industry and the people who depend on it,? said Antonio Saturday. ?Gamefowl breeders can penetrate the big time cockfighting circuit through Pasay Cockpit.?

Friday?s tilt is for breeders affiliated with the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (NFGB).
