THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE NAtional Federation of Gamecock Breeders (NFGB) announced yesterday the extension of the ?30 M NFGB National Bakbakan 10-Stag Derby? at Makati Coliseum due to the huge number of entries.

NFGB executive director Arnel Anonuevo said that two more elimination rounds will be held tomorrow and Wednesday at the Makati Coliseum.

?There is an influx of last-minute participants who want to take a piece of the ?Bakbakan? battles,? Anonuevo said.

As of yesterday, the total number of entries rose to 2,196, way above the target of 2,000.

Likewise, the semifinal rounds at Talisay Cockpit in Cebu were also extended into a two-day affair to accommodate more than 200 fights.

For Metro Manila participants, the semifinals will be held on Nov. 17 and 19 at the Araneta Coliseum and Nov. 20 at Pasay City Cockpit.
