‘Cancer Warrior’ headed for Lipa

LIPA CITY?Eeverything is set for the arrival here on Thursday of artist-activist Tomas Leonor who?s now on the second half of his long journey on foot to raise funds for poor cancer-stricken children.

Leonor, lead figure in the Step Juan drive by the Cancer Warriors Foundation, arrived in Quezon City Friday and was set to take another long trek from the University of the Philippines in Diliman to Magallanes via Edsa on Saturday.

In Lipa, Leonor will stop overnight and will meet with parents of several cancer-stricken kids at the CFW Children Center in Sto. Niño, Marawuy.

He proceeds to Tiaong, Quezon on Friday, before walking to San Pablo City.

Starting in Pagudpud last month, Leonor is expected in Matnog, Sorsogon on Feb. 26 in the wind-up phase of this noble venture that will touch 33 major cities and 150 towns. Recah Trinidad
