MANILA, Philippines? At least 20 teams, including the Blu Boys and Blu Girls, are expected to see action in the Summer Grand Slam IV-2010 National Softball Open championships tentatively set May 1-7 in Baguio City.

The Blu Boys will be distributed evenly among the participating teams, while the Blu Girls will get into action as guest team in the men's division.

Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines president Jean Henri Lhuillier said there could be as many as 30 teams in both divisions because of the venue.

?We have just finished Softball Pilipinas, the country's first semi-professional fast pitch softball league and holding the National Softball Open will help sustain the momentum for the sport,?' said Lhuillier.

Twenty-seven squads played in the Nationals last year at the Rosario Sports Complex with Philippine Air Force beating Taguig City, 7-3, for the men?s title.

Legends of Pampanga won the women?s side over Adamson University. Marc Anthony Reyes
