Nonito Donaire Jr., breaking his silence, dared Golden Boy Promotions to pay him and Top Rank $3 million to fight Mexican hotshot Abner Mares and send a legally binding proposal to his manager Cameron Dunkin.

Golden Boy Promotions has offered Nonito Donaire Jr.’s promoter Bob Arum $3 million for the right to stage the superfight pitting unbeaten Mexican champion Abner Mares against the Filipino boxing star.

Nonito Donaire Jr., will fight Abner Mares in a super bantamweight unification title bout only if the Mexican’s promotional and television handlers agree to promoter Bob Arum’s terms.
IF NONITO Donaire Jr. is aching to fight Abner Mares, the undefeated Mexican seems to want it even more. Mares, the 27-year-old holder of the World Boxing Council’s version of 122-pound title, told Mexican writer Rene Umanzor that he will move up to 126 lb in case his fight against Donaire falls through due to conflicts involving the two fighters’ respective promotional and television outfits.
