Rain or Shine is still dreaming, but of bigger things this time.

With a non-traditional team one of the protagonists, the championship pairing for the PBA Governors’ Cup undoubtedly lacked the box-office appeal present in previous title series.

RAIN or Shine, a team seeking to end an already historic campaign with a title, and a B-Meg squad never lacking in desire collide tonight at the start of what is seen as a long, protracted battle for the season-ending PBA Governors Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Chriss Ross fired up the Meralco offense in the first period and then flattened B-Meg in the dying seconds as the Bolts hung on to post a 104-101 upset of the Llamados last night in the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

There was no doubt that B-Meg’s one-for-the-books triumph over gallant Talk ‘N Text in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup title series Sunday night was all about the players, Denzel Bowles and James Yap in particular.

After being knocked over by a referee and laughed at by a huge crowd and then taking an ugly loss in the end, B-Meg coach Tim Cone was still man enough to blame everything on himself.
A HEAVY-SET American woman, easily over 6-feet tall, kept hoisting a huge cut-out photo of her son from the patron’s section all game long.

Barangay Ginebra, a team that thrives in dire, almost hopeless situations, is at it again.

Two knockout games to fill the last Final Four slots in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup will be played Sunday, with traditional playoff contenders Alaska and B-Meg having momentum over their respective foes at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The way they have been playing lately, though, the Llamados have a solid chance of making a serious run at the top. Gallent and his undermanned crew shoot for [...]

MANILA—San Miguel broke away in the final period and plastered Barako Bull, 94-81, last night to reclaim the solo lead in the PBA Philippine Cup elimination round at the Araneta Coliseum.
