Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 16 points as the New York Knicks, playing without the injured Carmelo Anthony, beat the Brooklyn Nets 109-98 on Tuesday to win the season series between city rivals.

Mason Plumlee denied LeBron James a dunk as time expired and the New York Nets defeated the reigning champs Miami 88-87 to finish off a four-game season sweep of the Heat.

Nets clinch playoffs spot with win over Rockets

Collins’ Nets jersey sale proceeds to go to gay rights groups

Nets get Bulls’ Teague, send Taylor to Pelicans

The Chicago Bulls selected Marquis Teague as the 29th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Teague won a national championship with Kentucky before applying for the draft. AP

A person with knowledge of the deals says the Brooklyn Nets have acquired guard Marquis Teague from Chicago for Toko Shengalia, and also sent guard Tyshawn Taylor to New Orleans in a separate move.
