The San Antonio Spurs, led by Tim Duncan’s 27 points, rallied for a 90-85 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday to open their NBA playoff series.

Dallas seals playoff berth with win over Suns

Knicks’ Smith fined $50K for shoelace stunt

The NBA gave J.R. Smith a warning – and then a $50,000 fine when he ignored it. The league penalized the New York Knicks guard again Wednesday, this time for “recurring instances of unsportsmanlike conduct” after he tried to untie an opponent’s sneaker for a second time in two games.
