WORKING together in staging what is considered as the most prestigious tournament in the country in recent memory, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and Philippine Basketball Association yesterday again vowed to host the “best” Fiba-Asia tournament ever in August.
National team coach Chot Reyes said he is excited at the prospect of having flexibility in selecting members of the national team that will do battle with the region’s best in the Fiba Asia tournament in August for a seat in the World Basketball Championship.
THE SAMAHANG Basketbol ng Pilipinas has prepared an audio-visual presentation that will detail the country’s hosting plans for the Fiba Asia tournament next year, an event that could cost the basketball body P30 million.
