Faried leads Nuggets past Warriors to stay in contention

Kenneth Faried brought the energy and the Denver Nuggets rediscovered their toughness in time to stave off elimination Tuesday night with a 107-100 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Kenneth Faried had 40 points and 10 rebounds and entertained the crowd at the end with a series of dunks, leading Team Chuck to a 163-135 victory over Team Shaq in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night.

Danilo Gallinari led six Nuggets players in double figures with 17 points and Denver stopped the Los Angeles Clippers’ franchise-record 17-game winning streak with a 92-78 victory on Tuesday night.
