10 fans injured when TV cable falls on race track

Charlotte Motor Speedway said 10 fans were injured Sunday at the Coca-Cola 600 and three were taken to the hospital after a nylon rope supporting a FOX Sports overhead television camera fell from the grandstands and landed on the track surface.

Indy 500 could be better than 2012′s epic race

They raced 1-2-3 in line, trading the lead a whopping 15 times over the final, frantic 75 laps. All three drivers had a last-lap plan in mind when they zipped past the white flag, and it was Takuma Sato who acted first with a bold move for the win.

Dozens of fans hurt in NASCAR crash

At least 33 NASCAR fans were injured when a car flew into the fence at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, hurling a tire and large pieces of debris into the stands.

The accident happened on the last lap of the second-tier Nationwide Series race on the eve of Sunday’s Sprint Cup season-opening Daytona 500, which officials said would go on as scheduled.
