Filipino boxer Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. showed that he was graceful in defeat saying that he was honored to have lost to undefeated Jamaican boxer Nicholas Walters for the World Boxing Association featherweight title.

Unbeaten Walters KOs Donaire for title

Undefeated Jamaican Nicholas Walters knocked out Filipino star Nonito Donaire with one second remaining in the sixth round Saturday to win the World Boxing Association featherweight title.

Donaire gets 11 stitches for gash that stopped fight vs Vetyeka

In a Facebook post, new WBA featherweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr. shows the stitches above his left eye from a cut he got on a headbutt in his fight against Vetyeka.

Nonito Donaire Jr. needed 11 stitches to close the bloody gash above his left eye caused by a head butt from Simpiwe Vetyeka in their world title fight Saturday night in Macao, China.

Donaire wins WBA Featherweight crown
