Superal slips ahead with 72

Wolen Superal, out of the limelight for a long time after a career-threatening hip injury, upstaged the big guns in a late flight yesterday, shooting an even-par 72 to grab a one-shot lead after the first round of the MVP Sports Foundation-Philippine Amateur Open championship.

Del Monte ends S’woods’ Luzvimin reign

Del Monte Golf Club romped off with the Champion Infinity 20th Luzvimin Golf Invitational presented by Pacsports crown via a whopping 29-point win, ending Manila Southwood’s four-year reign at Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club here Friday.
