The Philadelphia 76ers avoided setting the longest losing streak United States major professional sports history by routing the Detroit Pistons 123-98 on Saturday to end their winless stretch at a record-equaling 26 games.

The Philadelphia 76ers equaled the National Basketball Association record with their 26th straight loss Thursday, as James Harden’s triple-double led the Houston Rockets to a 120-98 victory.

Spurs win 14th straight, 76ers lose 25 straight

Austin Daye had 22 points and Tim Duncan added 19 as the San Antonio Spurs earned their 14th straight win with a 113-91 victory Monday that sent the Philadelphia 76ers to their 25th consecutive loss.
