The Washington Wizards downed an undermanned Miami Heat 114-93 on Monday to hand the Indiana Pacers the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

D.J. Augustin scored 25 points Saturday night, Joakim Noah had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and the Chicago Bulls turned a possible first-round playoff preview into a rout, never trailing in a 96-78 win over the Washington Wizards.

NBA: Wizards reach playoffs, Knicks close in on berth

Former NBA player Javaris Crittenton has been indicted on charges of murder and gang activity. Fulton County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Yvette Jones said Tuesday that 25-year-old Crittenton and his cousin, Douglas Gamble, are charged in the death of an Atlanta woman and the attempted murder of another man.
