MANILA, Philippines—One of Team Philippines’ boxing bets Nesthy Petecio has arrived in the Olympic Village to settle for the duration of the Paris Olympics 2024.

Petecio took to Instagram to show her new home for the next few weeks.

The Olympic Village is located north of Paris and spans the towns of Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis, and L’Ile-Saint-Denis. It will house 14,000 athletes and officials.

Starting July 30, Petecio will be competing in the preliminaries of the boxing’s women’s 57kg category.

Sam Catantan off to Paris

Meanwhile, Philippine fencing bet Sam Catantan said that she is set to travel to Paris on Wednesday.

“Off to Paris tomorrow! I can hardly believe I’ve made it this far. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me in my preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games,” wrote Catantan in an Instagram post.

“I feel truly blessed to have the best support system on this journey. Lalaban para sa bayan!” she added.

Catantan’s Paris Olympics’ run will start on July 28 when she competes in the women’s foil tournament.
