Villanueva reaches Toby’s second round
RAFAELA Villanueva imposed her will on Frances Diana Viloria, 6-0, 6-1, yesterday to break into the second round of the girls’ 16-under Toby’s Sports-Prince Tennis Festival 2013 at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
Also hurdling their first round assignments were Sophia Yap, Frances Angela Santiago and Katrina Isabel Marie Penaflor.
Yap downed Mae Ibaza Perez, 6-2, 6-2; Santiago routed Johanna Therese Capinpin, 6-2, 6-0; while Penaflor overcame Rose Anfelie Ferolino, 7-5, 6-0.

In the 12-under action, Mikaela Vicencio smashed Mia So, 6-1, 6-0; and Lourdez Pe turned back Denise Bernardo, 6-4, 6-3, to progress to the next round in the tournament sponsored by Toby’s Sports and Prince.
Erika Claude Manalo also advanced after blasting Jillian Velasco, 6-0, 6-0.
Alexandra Eala also overwhelmed Minette Bentillo, 6-1, 6-0, and Blanche Lagrisola booted out Anna Laura Demyer, 6-1, 6-2.
Maxine Martin and Marie Beatrice de Ocampo, scored walkover triumphs over Kryshana Brazal and Christy Sanosa, respectively. Marc Anthony Reyes
