TEENAGER Jester Mendoza stole the thunder from the seasoned bets as he ruled the 90-kilometer road race of the  2013 AboitizPower Tour of Subic at Subic Bay Freeport Sunday.

Flashing form beyond his years, the 15-year-old clocked two hours, 27 minutes and 37 seconds in the premier Category 3.

Mendoza’s surprise triumph spoiled the bid of Von Dutch rider Ricky Calla, who settled anew for second place.

Calla also ended up second in the 20 km Individual Time Trial and the 40 km Criterium race of the  two-day race organized by Bike King Philippines and co-sponsored by AboitizPower and its subsidiary, SN-AboitizPower Group.
