French Open play starts after rain delay

PARIS — Play got underway on the third day of the French Open on Tuesday after a rain delay of almost three hours at Roland Garros.

Top seed Novak Djokovic was due to begin his campaign on Court Philippe Chatrier against Belgium’s David Goffin.

Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli was starting proceedings on the main show court against Olga Govortsova of Belarus.
