Panganiban heads World Slasher Cup s’finals cast

DEFENDING champion Jose Panganiban put himself on track for a repeat win after breezing through last Monday’s opener with two wins with his entry “ANAC-IP” to lead today’s semifinalists in the 2013 World Slasher Cup-2 8-Cock Invitational Derby at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions with Thunderbird Bexan XP and BMeg Integra as major sponsors, this “Olympics of Cockfighting” will run from May 27 to June 2. Today’s semifinals start at 2 p.m.

Marvin Rillo was last Monday’s revelation with perfect scores from his two entries: “CSJ Hustler-Karl”  and “JunLip Boss Konsi MJ.”

Among those gunning for finals berths today are two-pointers: Jun Sevilla, Gery Ramos, Peping Cojuangco, Ikoy Ozaeta and Ayong Lorenzo, Peping Ricafort, Patrick Antonio, Mayor Cito Alberto, and Butchoy Olano and Lito Roque.
