MANILA, Philippines — The cost to watch the first-ever NBA Pre-season game in the Philippines starts at P550, the league and Mall of Asia announced on Friday morning.
But those who want to be closer to the action between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets will have to shell out much more than that.
For the Premium A section, the closest any paying patron could get, the tickets are priced at P32,300 while premium B tickets cost P27,000 — both include NBA merchandise.
For the sections C and D, the ticket prices are at pegged at P8,400, and P4,200, respectively, while the cheapest tickets belong to section E which are priced at P550.
Tickets are available at all SM Tickets outlets nationwide and on their website.
They go on sale on June 16, months before the anticipated October 10 NBA showdown at the Mall of Asia Arena — a milestone for a country so passionate about basketball.
The NBA pre-season games — officially known as the Global Games — will make stops in seven other cities like Brazil, Bilbao, Manchester, Beijing, Shanghai, Instanbul, and Taipei.
For fans who can’t afford to watch the game live, NBA country manager Carlo Singson assured there are activities set to give them a chance to interact with the NBA stars.
“There’ll be fan events and activities. The public events will be for free,” said Singson in an ambush interview with the reporters during the NBA Eastern Conference finals game 5 viewing party at the MOA Cinema Hall.
Singson said that they are still finalizing the schedule for the side-events, which includes the NBA Cares.
While fans here in Manila are used to watching the game early in the morning, Singson shared that the tip-off between Indiana and Houston is set at 7:30 in the evening.
