STALLION overcame Nomads, 6-3, Tuesday night to pile up the pressure on Global in the United Football League title race at Emperador Stadium.

Rufo Sanchez returned to his scoring ways, knocking in two goals as Stallion increased its lead over Global at the top to five points with two matches in hand.  The Spanish-born striker increased his haul to 18 goals in a banner season.

The win could prove crucial to Stallion as it has one match remaining while Global has three games left, including a tough one against Loyola Meralco tonight.

Joaco Canas, Shirmar Felongco and Lee Won Hyung also found the back of the net for Stallion, which conceded two late goals to Bafio Magassa and Andrew Sam.

Nomads actually took the lead in the 14th minute through Phil Connolly, but Stallion fired six unanswered goals to wrap up the match.
