Team Borgie tops Master GameFace All-Star Challenge

RR GARCIA shone brightest as Team Borgie rallied to carve out a thrilling 89-88 triumph over Team Chris in the Master GameFace All-Star Basketball Challenge yesterday at Filoil Flying V Arena.

Garcia, the Far Eastern University standout and former UAAP MVP, pumped in 22 points on top of five rebounds and four steals to lead the all-star squad mentored by former San Beda guard Borgie Hermida.

Ray Parks, the two-time UAAP MVP from National University, added 14 points, including the game-winning layup with 42 seconds to play.

Emmanuel Mbe blocked a shot by Team Chris’ Karim Abdul with 13 seconds left and Kiefer Ravena missed the potential game-winning trey in the dying moments of the game.

Kevin Ferrer paced Team Chris with 12 points, while Roider Cabrera had nine, all from beyond the arc.
