GREEN Archers United sustained its solid late-season form in a stunning 2-1 triumph over Pachanga Diliman Saturday night in the United Football League at Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.

Skipper Tating Pasilan knocked in a goal in each half as the Archers solidified their hold of sixth spot with a game remaining in their schedule.

Hobbled by injuries midway into the season, Pasilan has returned to lethal form, scoring three goals in the last three matches.

Once in trouble of getting relegated, the Archers extended their unbeaten streak to five matches—highlighted by four wins—to hike their total to 21 points for the season.

GAU leading scorer Chieffy Caligdong wasted a couple of chances before Pasilan finally struck four minutes before halftime for Archers.

The former St. La Salle striker doubled the lead in the 72nd minute to wrap up the victory. Ernest Appiah pulled a goal back for Pachanga in the 80th minute, but it proved to be too little too late.

The loss proved to be a huge blow for Pachanga’s hopes of finishing in the Top 4. Last year’s second division champions are three points behind Kaya with 25 with a game remaining.
