MANILA, Philippines — Perennial contender Talk ‘N Text has called it quits with long-time swingman Jared Dillinger after the league approved a three-team, five-player deal Monday.
Dillinger was sent to Barako Bull in exchange for do-it-all forward Sean Anthony. The Energy Cola though, then shipped Dillinger along with Don Allado for Ronjay Buenafe and Gilbert Bulawan.
The former University of Hawaii standout spent four seasons and two conferences with Talk ‘N Text, which selected Dillinger as its second overall pick in the 2008 PBA Draft.
The six-foot-four Dillinger, who’s supposed to be with the National team if not for an injury he sustained in a car accident, gives the Bolts a versatile player who can defend multiple positions and at the same time be an offensive threat with his in and out game.
Allado on the other hand, brings his inside toughness to pair with Meralco’s JayR Reyes.
Barako Bull added someone who can make immediate impact offensively in Buenafe with his ability to create his own shots and space up the floor with his lethal outside shooting.
