STALLION guns for its first United Football League title tonight when it tangles with Loyola Meralco in their final match of the season at Emperador Stadium in Taguig.

Kickoff is at 7:30 pm with Stallion looking to complete a championship double this season following its triumph in the UFL Cup last December.

“It’s the most important match of our club’s history,” said Stallion coach Ernie Nierras.

“We want to finish the season on a positive note and the players understand that,” said Loyola coach Vince Santos, whose squad was reduced to the role of spoilers late in the season after a run of poor results.

That loss by Global opened the door for Stallion to take the championship with a victory tonight.

A draw leaves Stallion with 46 points, and with Global at 40 with two matches remaining, the reigning champions can still catch up by sweeping their assignments.

Green Archers hopes to continue its sensational run against Nomads in the first match at 5:15 p.m.

The Archers have won four of their last five matches and they’ll finish sixth in the table regardless of the result against the Nomads, who are on a 12-match winless run.
