The racing holiday will come to an end this weekend after the racehorse owners’ three biggest groups making up the ‘Tri-Org’ wrote their fellow members to declare their chargers for the races starting tomorrow.

A copy of the letter was sent through text to the Inquirer by Marho president Eric Tagle, as the ‘Tri-Org,’ which called the racing holiday that started Tuesday last week, is anticipating the resignation of Philracom chair Angel Castano Jr. today.

“In the meantime, we shall await the decision of the Office of the President on our requests, including (the) replacement of the entire Philracom board,” the letter said.

“However, this move to declare (our horses) does not preclude us from reactivating our class action if the chairman (Castano) does not fulfill his promise (of resigning).”

Castano met with the leaders of Marho, Philtobo and Klub Don Juan de Manila last Friday and said  that he would step down on June 14.

But an Inquirer report yesterday had Castano admitting to reneging on his promise after the ‘Tri-Org,’ according to the Philracom chair, also did not fulfill its end of the bargain.

The feud between ‘Tri-Org’ and Castano escalated when the ‘Tri-Org’ learned that a Philracom commissioner was behind the move to come up with a racing program last weekend in order to address the racing holiday.
