MANILA, Philippines — After dropping its opening game, the Philippine team responded with a 20-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-17 win over Myanmar in the 2013 FIVB women’s volleyball Southeast Asia zone qualifiers Saturday night jn Quang Tri, Vietnam.

The PH volleybelles, who took a 9-25, 11-25, 18-25 romp from host Vietnam last Friday, leaned anew on National University’s Dindin Santiago and Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez to anchor the offense.

Santiago produced 16 points while Valdez tallied 15. Dindin’s younger sister Jaja, added 12.

The Philippines hopes to make it two in a row when it takes on Indonesia Sunday.
