Lucena, Baguio riders rule Cobra BMX

LUCENA and Baguio riders dominated the BMX events in the Cobra Energy Drink-Urge Ride Rules Tour 2nd Leg at Starmall Las Piñas recently.

Jose Buisan of Lucena bested other Stunt flatlanders while Daniel Garcia of Baguio topped the Street contest.

Buisan impressed the judges with his spins and rolling tricks to land first while fellow Lucena bet Mac Andrei Magbuhos took third spot. Bacolod City’s Paolo Gepolango placed second.

In the MTB Box Jump Contest, Alben Santos emerged first. Leaning on his BMX experience, Santos executed perfectly his own version of the backflip and 360 big airs, upending Max Galsim, who landed his 360-1 hander and Morgan Trick. Alvin Dacanay wound up third.

In the BMX Box Jump Contest, James Lang of Pasig City’s Team Lang did tricks such as Backside Can-Can, 360 Table Top and 360 Tailwhip to finish first.

Noli Baga of Angeles City’s Team Parugang placed second with his Superman Big Air trick. Hanry Chan, last year’s leg champion, settled for third this time. Steve Silva, Contributor
