ARMED with more experience and homefield advantage, the Philippines seeks to end a 24-year wait for a place in the Pony International Bronco World Series when it vies in the Asia Pacific qualifiers from July 14 to 17 at Rizal Memorial baseball stadium.

Known as the Habagat, the PH squad will contest the World Series spot against Chinese-Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Far East Russia and Indonesia in the four-day tourney for 12-year-old players.

The event’s winner will compete in the World Series in Los Alamitos, California, on Aug. 1 to 4.
