MANILA, Philippines – Tickets to watch the PH national team and other countries battle it out in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championships here in August will be sold starting on Thursday, according to SM Tickets, which announced the sale Wednesday.
National team coach Chot Reyes announced on Twitter (@coachot) earlier on the same day that “FIBA-Asia tickets will be made available in SM Ticket outlets starting Friday.”
But when INQUIRER.net called SM Tickets’ hotline to confirm Reyes’ tweet, the customer service representative said that the selling would actually start on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Games, scheduled from August 1 to 11, will be held at either the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay or at Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
Patron section tickets are priced at P300, Lower A at P150, Lower B at P100 and Upper A at P75 for the morning sessions at MOA Arena, SM Tickets also said.
For the evening games, Patron A seats are pegged at P1,500, Patron B at P1,200, Lower A at P800 and Lower B at P500, Upper B at P175 while the cheapest tickets are at P100 for general admission.
Smart Gilas Pilipinas starts its quest against Saudi Arabia on August 1, 8:30 p.m. at the MOA Arena.
The Filipinos are bracketed with Chinese Taipei and Jordan, along with Saudi Arabia in group A in the preliminary stages.
