MANILA, Philippines — Star guard Kiefer Ravena won’t be suiting up for Ateneo as it goes up against La Salle on Sunday, the Blue Eagles’ head coach confirmed Friday.
Bo Perasol, in a text message, relayed the university’s official statement, which said Ravena was “still recovering recovering from a severe ankle sprain and was listed as day-to-day.”
They had the meeting with the doctor earlier in the afternoon, Perasol said.
Ravena missed his first ever UAAP game last Wednesday, where the Blue Eagles fell to Far Eastern University, 75-79, in overtime.
The Blue Eagles and the Green Archers clash for the first time in UAAP season 76, with the defending champions shooting to avoid an alarming 0-3 hole.
