Putra Cup champs gain SEAG berths
FOR regaining the 2013 Putra Cup title in style, the Philippine team made it to the national contingent to the Myanmar (Burma) Southeast Asian Games in December.
Philippine chef de mission Jeff Tamayo said six slots have been reserved for the golfers in the lean PH delegation to the Dec. 11 to 22 Games after capturing the Putra Cup crown by an incredible 22-stroke margin over Singapore recently at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
“Prior to the tournament, it was decided that winning the title will be their ticket to the SEA Games,” said Tamayo.
