Rios vows to knock out ‘mortal’ Pacquiao again
Having seen the vulnerability of Manny Pacquiao, Brandon Rios is bent on handing the popular Filipino another knockout loss.
Rios told RingTV.com that Pacquiao is bound “to leave himself open” when they clash on Nov. 24 at The Venetian in Macau.
“I’m going to catch his ass, and when I catch his ass, he’s going to go down,” said Rios, who boasts 23 knockouts in his sterling 31-win, 1-loss, 1-draw record.
Article continues after this advertisementRios was at ringside when Juan Manuel Marquez caught Pacquiao with a wicked right en route to a shocking sixth-round knockout win last December in Las Vegas.
“When he got knocked out by Marquez, everybody saw that Manny Pacquiao is just a human being,” Rios told Lem Satterfield. “Marquez showed that (Pacquiao) is vulnerable to being punched and that he can get knocked out.”
Rios said moving up to 147 lb will enable him to force Pacquiao “to fight in retreat.” Roy Luarca
