Super Liga: Bunag, Alarca team up as PH Army whips Bingo Milyonaryo
MANILA, Philippines — TMS-Philippine Army barely broke a sweat in its 25-19, 25-15, 25-11 win over Bingo Milyonaryo Wednesday in the 2013 Philippine Super Liga volleyball invitational at the Philsports Arena.
The Lady Troopers clinched the number one spot at the end of eliminations in a dominating fashion, leading by as many as 13 points in the third set.
Head coach Rico De Guzman credited TMS-Army’s chemistry for their performance so far in the tournament, clinching an outright semifinals spot with 12 points.
Article continues after this advertisement“Magagaling din yang mga yan eh,” De Guzman said of the Puffins. “Galing sa mga champion na schools. Baka hindi pa lang rin sila nakaka-adjust.”
“Kami galing pa kaming Tuguegarao, tapos dere-derecho practice namin,” De Guzman also said, as his squad finished third in the Tuguegarao open.
Joanne Bunag and Jacqueline Alarca led the Lady Troopers’ veteran-stacked roster with 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

The Puffins dropped to last place with four points.
