Third-ranked Petron (3-2) and fourth-seeded Cagayan Valley (3-2)_try to repeat over PCSO Bingo Milyonaryo (1-4) and PLDT MyDSL and join outright semifinalists TMS Philippine Army and Cignal.
Petron and PCSO tangle first at 2 p.m. followed by the 4 p.m. duel between Cagayan and PLDT.
Army topped the eliminations at 4-1 while Cignal, which finished tied with Petron and Cagayan, advanced by virtue of having more sets won in the tiebreak.
The Blaze Spikers own an 18-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16 win over the Puffins last July 14 and go into the match after downing the erstwhile leading Rising Suns, 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19.
Petron is fueled by a talented core made up of Gretchen Ho, Ma. Angeli Tabaquero, Aiza Maizo, Maika Ortiz, Karla Bello, Fille Cainglet and Melissa Gohing while PCSO will rely on Michelle Gumabao, Ivy Remulla, Michelle Laborte and Maureen Penetrante.
After a hot 3-0 start, Cagayan, which lost its last two matches, will try to repeat its 25-16, 25-27, 29-27, 25-22 conquest of PLDT earlier.
