UAAP: FEU, La Salle rout separate foes to remain unbeaten in women’s basketball

MANILA, Philippines—Reigning champion Far Eastern University and De La Salle University kept their records pristine after whipping respective rivals in the 76th UAAP Season women’s basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Tamaraws trounced the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons, 68-31, while the Lady Archers scored a 63-35 drubbing of the University of the East Lady Warriors to stretch their unbeaten streaks to five games.
FEU wasted no time in asserting its might as it opened the game with 12 unanswered points en route to a commanding 16-3 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Camille Sambile showed the way anew for the Lady Tams with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
Ara Abaca also notched a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds as La Salle dominated UE right from the get-go.

Meanwhile, Kristine Abriam made his presence felt on both ends with 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks to lift National University to a 76-66 win over Adamson as the Bulldogs remained in third place with a 4-1 mark.

Jeanine Ong and Kim Reyes, on the other hand, combined for 39 points as University of Santo Tomas turned back Ateneo, 72-63, for its second win in five starts.
The win put the Tigresses in fourth place tie with the Lady Falcons at 2-3 to join the Tigresses.

The Lady Maroons and the Lady Warriors fell to 1-4 while the Lady Eagles are still winless after five outings.
