Laurente fight banners Pinoy-Thai casino duel

WORLD-RATED Philippine champion Dennis Laurente fights Thai standout Manopnoi Singmanssak for the vacant World Boxing Council Asia junior middleweight crown on Aug. 10 at Midas Hotel and Casino tent in Pasay.

The Laurente-Manopnoi bout headlines the “Philippines vs. Thailand: War at the Casino,” a fight card that also features siblings Juan Martin and Juan Miguel Elorde.

Juan Martin, the reigning World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific champion, battles Thai Rajakru Rungwatana over 10 rounds at 133 pounds while younger brother Juan Miguel takes on Pinsanuthep Kiatchaiyong over eight rounds at 124 lb.

The fight program is promoted by sportsman Johnny Elorde and supported by the office of Rep. Emi Calixto Rubiano and Pasay City Mayor Tony Calixto, Gatorade, Alaxan and Midas.
