JULIEN Benneteau of France and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia stopped defending champions Treat Huey of the Philippines and Dominic Inglot of Britain, 6-3, 6-4, Saturday, in the Citi Open tennis men’s semifinals in Washington D.C.

Benneteau and Zimonjic will go for the crown against the dangerous pair of American Mardy Fish and Czech Radek Stepanek who downed Gregor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Michael Llodra of France, 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 in the other semifinal match.

Huey and Inglot, who beat Zimonjic and Llodra last year, came away with $19,600 prize for making the semifinals.
The Filipino-British pair, ranked No. 24 in the world, reached both the third rounds of the French Open and Wimbledon this year. Marc Anthony Reyes
