JOHNS CREEK, Georgia  — The edges of two greens at Atlanta Athletic Club were quickly repaired after they were damaged by mowers on the eve of the PGA Championship.

The PGA of America said the damage on the edges of the 14th and 17th greens was believed to be the result of a significant rise in the dew point at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday, which caused the brushes on the mowers to stick in the grass and damage it.
