MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas trails Iran, 53-62, after three quarter in their gold medal match of the 27th FIBA Asia men’s Championship Sunday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Filipinos took a brief lead on two freethrows by Jayson Castro barely a minute into the third but the Iranians zoomed to a 45-36 edge after 10 unanswered points.
