WITH floods and heavy rains brought by Typhoon Maring still wreaking havoc on Metro Manila, organizers of the Shakey’s V-League decided to reset the three games scheduled yesterday to a later date at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The league postponed the Army’s debut against Far Eastern University at 2 p.m., the 4 p.m. meeting between Navy and Cagayan, and the clash pitting Meralco and Air Force at 6 p.m.
“Due to the very bad weather, we are cancelling the Shakey’s V-League games scheduled for today,” said Shakey’s V-League executive Moying Martelino. “New game dates will be announced.”
It marked the second straight day that sports events were called off in Metro Manila due to bad weather. The NCAA and UAAP also decided to postpone some of their basketball games last Monday. Cedelf P. Tupas
