Rivera snaps Singapore’s Asian karting domination
His triumph in the recent 2011 Asian Karting Open Championship only proved that Fern-C Racing’s Estefano Rivera really has come of age.
From being a top rookie two years ago, the 14-year-old Rivera grew up into one of the fiercest competitors in the junior category of the event sanctioned by the Commission International de Karting and the Automobile Association Philippines.
Rivera actually has been bogged with several problems in his campaign in the local Petron Karting Super Series. But when the call of duty for country comes, he gives his whole heart.

“I didn’t really expect it. I just told myself not to give up and with the big help of the Fern-C Racing crew led by coach Edgen (Dy-Liacco) and chief mechanic Sonny Suba, we were able to pull through,” said Rivera, who started 14th in the Pre-Final.
The feat proved Rivera is ready for international challenge.
