UAAP: UST snaps 3-game skid, deals Adamson its 6th loss in a row
MANILA, Philippines — In a must-win game, University of Santo Tomas ended a three-game losing spell at the expense of slumping Adamson, 80-67, Wednesday in the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.
Karim Abdul notched a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds to go along with four blocks for the Growling Tigers, who improved to 4-6 while also dealing the Falcons a big blow to their Final Four bid.
“Ang key dito leadership. Nawala si Teng. Abdul step up talaga this second round. Plus yung ibang players like si Sheriff nag-contribute din,” said UST coach Pido Jarencio.
Adamson, which dropped to 3-8, got 15 points and three blocks from Rodney Brondial and 13 from Jericho Cruz.
