GlobalPort, San Mig Coffee brawl erupts in PBA Governors’ Cup

MANILA, Philippines – An on-court brawl erupted during the third quarter of the game between GlobalPort and San Mig Coffee Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

Mixers forward Marc Pingris and Batang Pier rookie Kelly Nabong were sent out of the court after exchanging blows.

The scuffle ensued after GlobalPort reserve Marvin Hayes and San Mig Coffee import Marqus Blakely got tangled up.

Blakely’s teammate Joe Devance shoved Hayes down on the floor then Nabong pushed Blakely.

Devance and Hayes were slapped with a technical foul for second motion.

The game was stopped with the Mixers holding a 58-39 lead at the 8:11 mark of the third period.  Mark Giongco
