MANILA, Philippines — San Antonio Spurs reserve Matt Bonner will grace the NBA Cares program here this September.
Bonner, the six-foot-10 sniper, will conduct basketball clinics to be held at the Manila Boystown Complex on September 6 and at the Mall of Asia Arena on September 7.
The event at Boystown Complex will also mark the official commencement of the financial partnership between the NBA and Sun Life.
NBA Cares is the league’s global and social responsibility program. Through it, the NBA, including its teams and players, have donated more than $220 million to charity, completed more than 2.5 million hours of hands-on community service in 23 countries and territories throughout five continents.
The 33-year-old Bonner, a second round pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 2003 NBA Draft, played a key role to help the Spurs win a championship in 2007.
