PBA: Tenorio stars as Ginebra beats Air21

MANILA, Philippines — Barangay Ginebra San Miguel got back to its winning ways after adding more misery to struggling Air21, 106-93, in the 38th PBA Governors’ Cup Wednesday night at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The Kings got their groove in the second half as they outscored the Express, 30-18, for an 84-69 lead after a buzzer-beating triple from way out by LA Tenorio.

“Nahirapan kami sa simula kasi nag-big lineup sila,” said Ginebra coach Ato Agustin, whose team improved to 2-3.

LA Tenorio starred with 18 points, 11 in the pivotal third period, on top of seven rebounds and 14 assists.

Ginebra import Dior Lowhorn scored 35 points while Mark Caguioa added 20 points.

Air21 reinforcement Zach Graham registered 38 points and 12 rebounds in a losing cause as the Express fell to 1-5.
