Navy logs first win, keeps FEU winless in V-League

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Navy finally barged into the win column after a close three-set win over Far Eastern University, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17, in the Shakey’s V-League Open Conference Sunday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Lady Sailors halted a three-game skid and sent the Lady Tamaraws to their fifth straight setback in as many stints.

Michelle Laborte carried Navy, which kept its slim quarterfinals hopes going, on both ends with 12 points, including four blocks.

Chris Rosale and Rosemarie Prochina backed up Laborte’s output with 10 and eight points respectively.
